Sometime we get complacent...
Ever been there? Satisfied with the way things are.
And if we are not careful we can move right into apathy...
unemotional, unaffected, and generally just not interested.
Nothing wakes us up better then GOD
He wants us engaged and plugged in....feeling fully our lives...being present...
Keeping our eye on the NOW
and preparing for the tomorrows of our lives and letting go of the yesterdays.
God sends many things to wake us up....
LOUD PEOPLE --to show us our intolerance
IRRITATIONS - to show us our impatience
SICKNESS of LOVED ONES - to show us our disconnection
One of my New Years Resolutions was: WAKE UP & BE PRESENT
This is not as easy as I thought....but I will not give up.
The point of it is to be open to the ways God will bring me a WAKE UP CALL.
Then be willing to be present........
even when I want to HIDE
even when I want to DENY
even when it HURTS
